I absolutely love this cereal! It is tasty without being overly sweet. It is so versatile too. I have a small bowl (dry) as a snack when I want something crunchy. I also use it as a crunchy topping for my oatmeal. Try it. You won’t be disappointed.

  2. Chris

Excited to find this. My wife loves cereal. Possible for you to infuse polyphenols into this? We take the Macquirx and will be ordering Cocoarx plus however, like your bars and shakes, would be great to have that boost with this meal too.

  3. Richard Burelle

    Dr Sears,
I recently purchased this product (Zone Breakfast Cereal) and was reviewing the list of ingredients and found Maltodextrin. This is concerning to me given recent research on the adverse effects of maltodextrin, especially on children. I purchased six boxes with the expectation that my children could use this product as a good start to their day.

Interested you know your perspective on this.

    • Dr. Sears Zone Customer Support

Richard, Thank you for your comment and for bringing your concern to our attention. The maltodextrin used in Zone cereal is used in small quantities to help with the texture of the product. We understand other products in the marketplace may use maltodextrin as a sweetener which can greatly increase the glycemic response in a food product. The Glycemic Index is a measure of how fast a food raises blood-sugar on a scale from 1 to 100. Zone Cereal has been clinically tested and determined to have an average Glycemic Index of only 22. This is 3 to 4 times lower than typical breakfast cereals. Our goal at Zone is to create products that help improve the health of individuals at any stage of life, making it easier to achieve the guidelines set forth by Dr. Sears. Thank You, Dr. Sears Zone

    Dr Sears,
About 20+ years ago you developed shelf meals that were wonderful? I kept my weight in check and felt great. Can you consider making those again? Do you have any of those recipes? ?

    • Dr. Sears Zone

Maryann, Thank you for your comment/question. Unfortunately, the shelf stable meals are no longer available. If you are interested in any Zone recipes you can find hundreds of balanced Zone recipes here on ZoneDiet.com in our recipe section at http://www.zonediet.com/recipes/. Thank You, Dr. Sears Zone

Great tasting and properly balanced. Other cereals leave me hungry or “tired”. Not this one.

  9. JIM WILLARD (verified owner)

I have the cereal most mornings and almost always add blueberries. It’s filling and a great way to start my day.

  10. Sherry Durham

I have a question about your cereal. If 3/4 cup is 250 calories how much would a cup be. That’s what I usually eat because of my job I don’t get a break to eat a snack, that’s why I eat a cup with 1/2 cup of strawberries and 1/2 milk. I usually don’t eat anything else until dinner. I’m on 1200 calories a day. I’ve lost 68 lbs. by being on The Zone. Dr. Sears would you please email me back about the calories for 1 cup of your cereal. Thanks, Sherry

    • Dr. Sears’ Zone

Sherry, Thank you for your question/comment and congratulations on losing 68lbs on the Zone Diet. Yes, 3/4 of a cup of cereal is 250 calories so 1 cup of Zone Cereal would equate to 333 calories. With approximately 60 calories in a 1/2 cup of milk and 25 calories in 1/2 cup of strawberries, your total caloric intake from 1 cup of Zone Cereal, 1/2 cup of milk, and 1/2 cup of strawberries is approximately 420 calories. Hope this helps you out and keep up the great work on the Zone Diet. Thank You, Dr. Sears’ Zone

Love this breakfast cereal & eat it 6 days a week. Gives me energy for hours.

  12. DW

This is the 1st time I bought the cereal. I really like the taste and clusters. I bought a case (6 boxes) cuz they are small boxes.

  13. Carol Irving

Delicious cereal with quick delivery. I quickly became addicted to it despite the high shipping charge, being from Canada. My international rep Patty Tampone is extremely pleasant and a joy to deal with.

    Very healthy, Quick and Easy

  15. Gloria English (verified owner)

    Great Tasting

I am unable to find how many bocks per serving.

    • Dr. Sears’ Zone Customer Support

Gloria, Thank you for your comment/question. One 1/2 cup serving of the Zone Cereal equates to 2 blocks. If you add 1 cup of 2% milk to the Zone Cereal it adds another Zone block and bring the total to 3 Zone Blocks. Hope this helps you out. Thank You, Dr. Sears’ Zone
