The Zone Protein Powder is flavor-neutral and designed to be added to recipes such as soups, dressings, stews, and oatmeal to bring up the protein levels. That being the case, the scoop utilized for the powder is a small 9gram scoop providing 7 grams of protein and offers a bit more measuring flexibility for the user. If you did want 21grams of protein you would need 3 of the 9gram scoops. Also, at this time we do not have plans for a larger size container but we are open to the idea. Thank You, Dr. Sears’ Zone

    It’s hard to believe that Dr. Sears put his stamp of approval on a product containing maltodextrin. It has a higher glycemic index than regular sugar.
    Also, I wish your company would jump on the non-GMO bandwagon.

In the Zone Protein Powder the maltodextrin is utilized in small amounts and serves as an anti-caking agent to help prevent clumping rather than as a sweetener. The last thing Dr. Sears would do is create a product with the intention of promoting an insulin response or spike as it goes against the basis of the Zone. While there are many protein powders on the market that do have carbohydrates or sugar listed on their labels, the Zone Protein Powder has 0g sugar and only 1 gram of carbohydrates making it an excellent way to add protein to a recipe without additional carbs & sugars.     Getting ready to purchase zone protein powder. I have tried many different powders over the years and this is my go back to.     have not purchased yet. it seems many of these products contain isolates, dairy, wheat, gluten, canola oil, etc etc, rather than whole foods. it’s my understanding that variety of whole foods is the best nutrition. please comment

    I love this product! I love the fact it is plain without flavoring. I do wonder though if Zone has a powder with more protein. I like making mid morning and afternoon shakes but have to use up to three scoops to get more protein. I add spinach and flax seed along with some fruit to my shakes. Thank you for any assistance .
