Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse seems to be an unlikely location to find a Zone meal, but Sherlock Zone, our intrepid food detective, had no trouble at all.
First off, you don’t have to have a steak at this steakhouse. One member of Sherlock’s party had a shrimp cocktail (five large shrimp) and then loaded up on favorable carbs. at the Farmer’s Market salad bar, which features “unlimited” fresh vegetables and fruits.
Entrees that appealed to him include grilled salmon, lobster tails, hibachi chicken breast marinated in a light herb dressing and served with broccoli and tomato basil tilapia topped with fresh tomatoes, basil and olive oil.
If you really want to have a steak, Sherlock says the Steakhouse Fillet Mignon is the best bet. It is the smallest steak sold at Charlie Brown’s, but still it is seven ounces, enough for both a typical man AND woman to eat. If you don’t want to share, take some home for lunch the next day. It comes with garlic green beans.
