Sherlock Zone visits Big Boy

“Oh, boy” was the deadpan response of Sherlock Zone when he received his assignment for the month. For those of you not familiar with our Sherlock, he is assigned one restaurant a month where he does some detective work to see if we will be able to order a Zone meal there. This month Sherlock was told to check out Big Boy restaurant. He rolled his eyes, but we were firm about the assignment.

When he took a look at the menu, however, he found to his surprise that there were a lot more choices than the classic Big Boy double-decker, which is definitely not a good Zone meal.

Cream of Broccoli Soup, Cauliflower Soup and the Soup of the Day will get you off to a good start. Better still, try the All-You-Can-Eat Soup, Salad and Fruit Bar. Several other salads are also offered: a Grilled Chicken Breast Salad that comes with tomatoes, cucumbers, celery and carrots; Grilled Fajita Salad, which comes with peppers, green onions, shredded cheddar cheese, tomatoes, black olives and salsa ranch dressing; and Tuna Salad, which includes celery, carrot sticks, hard-boiled egg, sliced cucumbers and pepperoncini on a bed of lettuce with tomato slices.

If you’re short on carbs, add an order of cole slaw, chili, or the vegetable of the day.

Sherlock also found the Blackened Chicken Breast, Broiled Lemon Cod and Seafood Platter to be good Zone choices. Just have extra vegetables and skip the potato.
