Sherlock visits Au Bon Pain

As Au Bon Pain prepares to celebrate 25 years as an American company, new menu items have been added to offer customers more than just a sandwich. That pleases Sherlock Zone, our roving food detective, who recently dined there.

 

Of course, breads in all shapes and colors are still featured prominently on the menu, but a number of salads and soups have been added. Sherlock found that it sometimes took the combination of soup and a salad to add up to a Zone meal. (Nutritional information on all menu items can be found on aubonpain.com/nutrition. Check out combinations before you go to make sure you pick a winning meal.)

 

For example, the Charbroiled Salmon Filet with Yellow Peppers added up to 18 grams of protein, 7 grams of carbohydrate and 5 grams of fat. Pair that with Vegetable Beef Barley Soup, and it’s a Zone meal for a typical woman. A typical man would have to also eat a piece of fruit to make the meal complete.

 

A typical woman would stay in the Zone with a Salad Nicoise and an apple. A typical man might want to add a bowl of Chicken Florentine Soup instead.

 

Sherlock told us that he was gratified to find a place for fast food where he get a Zone meal, especially as the hectic holiday shopping period begins.
