Canadian bacon makes this salad delicious.
Cook Canadian bacon, let sit to crisp up, and cut small. Blanch broccoli in boiling water for 1 minute, rinse under cold water to preserve bright green color and drain. Mix ranch mix in cottage cheese. Chop all veggies and put in a large bowl. Add cooled broccoli and garbanzo beans. Stir in cottage cheese and Canadian bacon. Top with slivered almonds.
