Slow cooking but quick preparation
This is the part I love about the slow cooker. Just put all ingredients except for the cornstarch, broccoli and extra virgin olive oil in the slow cooker and mix. Cover and cook on low for seven hours or three hours on high. When the chicken is almost done, steam the broccoli and plate it. When the chicken is done, remove from slow cooker and plate on top of plated broccoli. Add cornstarch and stir to thicken the sauce. Top the chicken with sauce. Drizzle each plate with 1 teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil. Each person may have one-half apple for dessert.
