You can cook large batches of oatmeal, refrigerate it, and warm up just the amount needed.
1. Bring water to a boil. Stir in steel-cut oats and pumpkin pie spice. Cook for 5 minutes. Lower heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Let cool. Stir in the protein powder. (Can be made the night before and warmed in the microwave oven in the morning). When you are ready to eat stir in the remaining ingredients. 2. If made the night before, take out of refrigerator and serve to individual bowls. Divide the remaining ingredients among the four bowls and microwave on high for 2 1/2 minutes (microwaves vary), stirring half way.
